Hale's versatility makes him a useful senior sign. He was expected to be LSU's first baseman this year and he had played some second base in the past, but Hale slid over to third base to fill a team need. Hale's tools are all fringy, but he has a chance to be a below-average hitter whose ability to play multiple positions will make him a useful organizational player.
