With a glut of infielders on the Grand Junction roster, Jean wound up playing multiple positions, including six games at third base and one in center field, in his first year in the U.S. after two in the Dominican Summer League. The versatility Jean showed may benefit him later in his career with projections that he could fill a role as a utility infielder, depending on the development of his bat.
