Tolbert, a native of Piedmont, S.C., transferred to IMG Academy for his senior year of high school. Before he got to IMG, he made his mark on the showcase circuit, and was named MVP of the Under Armour All-American Game last summer. Tolbert is more of a line-drive hitter right now, but has plenty of room to add strength to his 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame and develop some more pop. Tolbert played shortstop in high school, but his below-average speed will lead him to move off the position at the next level. If he does add more power as he physically matures, he would fit the third base profile well. Tolbert is committed to South Carolina.
