Recruited as a catcher, Hall had never pitched until he got to Elon. When it became clear he wasn't going to hit enough, the Phoenix converted him to a pitcher, gradually building him up until he became the team's full-time closer this spring. At 6-foot-2, 212-pounds, Hall has touched as high as 97 mph this season, but other days, he'll live more around 90-92. His slider is a work in progress. It shows swing-and-miss potential, but he hasn't needed it often in games. Despite his newness to pitching, Hall doesn't issue many walks--eight in 31 innings this year--but his control is ahead of his command. Teams interested in Hall like that he has a fresh arm and plenty of arm strength. He still needs refinement, but his upside appears high.
