  It's not often a player can hit .353/.437/.634 and have it be slightly disappointing, but Venter was coming off of a freshman year where he hit .385/.447/.698. The Auburn signee has been one of the best power prospects in junior college for two years, and he manages to get to his plus power without selling out, allowing evaluators to project him to have a chance to have an average hit tool to go with that power. He'll need to hit because Venter is a below-average defender at third base who likely will have to slide over to first eventually.
