Drafted in the 11th round (320th overall) by the Minnesota Twins in 2013 (signed for $150,000).
View Draft Report
Molina has a thin build at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, but he has a projectable frame and some scouts believe he'll fill out enough that he will eventually outgrow shortstop. He would be more likely to move to either second base or center field. Molina is a lefthanded hitter who shows some strength in his hands but doesn't have much muscle in his swing yet. He shows enough bat control and whip to eventually hit for a decent average and drive the gaps. He is an above-average runner with good defensive actions.
