Biasi was known by scouts in high school. He had the arm strength to produce low 90s velocity--which he did at the 2013 WWBA Championships--but he was an undersized righthander and scouts thought he'd be a reliever. While Biasi is more of a pitcher now that he was in high school, scouts still feel the same way about him. His stocky build evokes George Costanza body comparisons, but Biasi is a near-average athlete with functional body control and looseness to his delivery. He usually sits in the low 90s but can run his fastball as high as 95 mph. His low 79-82 mph curveball is a below-average pitch. The team taking Biasi will hope that his stuff and pitchability play up in the bullpen.
