Jester ranked as the top prospect in the Texas Collegiate League last summer, when he posted a 41-2 K-BB ratio and didn't allow an earned run in 30 regular-season innings. In his first season at Texas A&M, he has tied a school record with 13 saves. He actually joined the Aggies a year ago after two seasons at Tyler (Texas) JC, but he was declared ineligible for unspecified reasons. A little guy with a big arm, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Jester hit 97 mph in the TCL and has worked at 90-94 mph this spring. He can get outs with a tight 78-82 mph curveball as well, though it can get loose at times. Though he's strictly a reliever, he throws strikes and can use a changeup to keep batters off balance.
