Bond is a solid defender behind the plate, but he offers real power in the batter's box as a switch hitter. He had somewhat of a breakout 2017 season, hitting a career-best .307/.385/.507 but scouts are skeptical of his true hitting ability after hitting .219 as a sophomore and two mediocre summers. He's better from the right-handed side at the plate, with a more compact swing and was ranked the No. 7 prospect in the MINK League in 2015--the same year he homered off of A.J. Puck.
