Misiorowski is a massively projectable juco arm with plenty of stuff to get excited about. Listed at 6-foot-7, 190 pounds, Misiorowski is long and lean with plenty of room for future strength gains, but long limbs that cause him trouble in repeating his delivery. This spring with Crowder (Mo.) JC, the righthander posted a 2.72 ERA over 15 starts and 76 innings, striking out 136 batters and walking 45. His control was well below-average early in the season, but he made progress and improved his strike throwing later in the year as more and more teams started running in to see him. He’s pitched heavily off a mid-90s fastball that sits 94-96 and has been up into the 100-101 mph range at peak, with impressive spin and carry. He gets a tremendous amount of swing and miss on the pitch at the top of the zone and has used it to overwhelm juco hitters. Misiorowski also throws a hard, mid-80s slider that has gotten up to 90-91 mph, with impressive sweep and hard break when he snaps off a good one. The pitch flashes plus and has improved in power throughout the spring. Misiorowski gets good extension off the mound and has a lower release height, which should allow his stuff to play up even more. He’ll need to continue improving his command within the zone and develop a third pitch to profile as a starter, but he has back-of-the-bullpen upside and stuff. Misiorowski is committed to Louisiana State.

BA Grade/Risk: 55/High.
Track Record: The Brewers drafted Misiorowski in the second round in 2022 and paid him $2.35 million, their top bonus for a draft pick that year. He spent most of 2024 with Double-A Biloxi, then, as he neared his innings limit for the season, the Brewers moved him to the bullpen in Triple-A Nashville in August with the thought of potentially bringing him up to Milwaukee for the stretch run. He ended up staying in the minors the rest of the season.
Scouting Report: Misiorowski has some of the most explosive stuff in the minors. His high-spin fastball reaches 101 mph and sits at 95-99 as a starter. He throws from a low release height into a low three-quarters slot and generates 7.4 feet of extension—which would rank among the top 10 in the majors—allowing his upper-tank velocity to play up even more. Misiorowski throws two plus-plus breaking balls. One is a power curveball in the mid 80s that he snaps off with sharp, late bite and lateral break from his lower slot to miss bats at a high clip. The other is a mid-to-upper-80s slider that has hard, late bite with two-plane depth to be another bat-missing weapon. Misiorowski also has a firm changeup but he rarely uses that pitch. He has an aggressive delivery and extremely long limbs that he struggles to sync up to repeat his mechanics, leading to below-average control that remains his biggest red flag.
The Future: If everything clicks, Misiorowski’s stuff would fit as either a front-end starter or as an elite reliever. Some scouts think his lack of strikes will limit him to a bullpen role, but if he can develop better control over his gangly, 6-foot-7 frame, the upside is there for him to become a dominant starter.

Track Record: The Brewers drafted shortstop Eric Brown Jr. with their first-round pick in 2022, but their highest bonus ($2.35 million) of that draft class went to Misiorowski, their second-rounder. In Misiorowski’s first full season in 2023, the Brewers tightly controlled his workload early--he threw more than four innings only once in the first two months--but he rose through three levels, finishing at Double-A Biloxi.
Scouting Report: Misiorowski’s raw stuff stacks up among the best of any pitching prospect in the game. He’s a gangly 6-foot-7 righthander with an explosive fastball, sitting at 95-99 mph and topping at 102. Misiorowski generates a ton of extension from a low release height out of his low three-quarters arm slot, allowing his already outstanding velocity to play up because of the unusual look. His slider flashes as a plus-plus pitch, producing a high whiff rate against both righties and lefties. He throws a power slider in the mid-to-upper 80s at 2,400-2,600 rpm. The pitch snaps off with late bite to dive underneath barrels. His curveball, which he shelved in college but reintroduced in pro ball, is a plus pitch that gets whiffs as well. Misiorowski’s changeup is a firm, below-average offering in the low 90s that he rarely throws. While his control took a step forward in 2023, it still remains a concern. He walked 13% of batters, while his 18 hit batsmen tied for fourth in the minors. It’s a challenge for Misiorowski to sync up his long limbs in his high-effort delivery, which might always make it difficult for him to corral his stuff in the zone.
The Future: Misiorowski has the stuff to be a frontline starter or a wipeout reliever. His mechanics and control lead some scouts to think his future is in the bullpen, but if he can throw enough strikes and handle a bigger workload, he could develop into one of the game’s best starters.

Track Record: The Brewers drafted Aaron Ashby out of Crowder (Mo.) JC in the fourth round in 2018 and he became their No. 1 prospect entering the 2022 season. They drafted Misiorowski from the same school with their second-round pick in 2022, and his $2.35 million bonus topped that of Milwaukee first-rounder Eric Brown Jr., a shortstop out of Coastal Carolina who signed for $2.05 million, for the highest in their draft class.
Scouting Report: Misiorowski is an extremely tall, gangly pitcher with outstanding raw stuff. He sits in the mid 90s, touches 101 mph and might end up consistently living in the upper 90s once he packs on more strength to his 6-foot-7 frame. In one short-burst outing during instructional league, Misiorowski didn't throw a fastball under 99 mph. It's a power pitch that plays up even more because of his extension. The carry on his fastball helps him miss bats when he attacks hitters up in the zone. Misiorowski's slider is a wipeout pitch, flashing as a 70 on the 20-80 scale. Misiorowski was primarily a two-pitch guy before signing, but he has a good curveball that he shelved in college and some evaluators think can be plus. He rarely uses his changeup but that pitch shows promise as well, though it's often misidentified as a two-seamer in the low 90s. The major risk Misiorowski presents is his well below-average control. In his draft year he walked 45 batters and hit 11 others in 76 innings for Crowder. After signing, Misiorowski walked seven and hit another one of the 14 batters he faced in 1.2 innings for Low-A Carolina. His control was better during instructs, but his high-effort delivery makes it difficult for him to throw strikes.
The Future: Misiorowski's premium stuff gives him the upside to be a front-end starter, but his control troubles make him an enormous wild card, with a chance he ends up in the bullpen.

August Update: The Brewers drafted lefthander Aaron Ashby out of Crowder (Mo.) JC with their fourth-round pick in 2018 before he developed into their No. 1 prospect after the 2021 season. Misiorowski is from the same program, though with far more electricity to his stuff than Ashby had coming out of the draft. The Brewers drafted him with their second-round pick in 2022 and signed him for $2.35 million, their biggest bonus of the 2022 draft to edge out Milwaukee's first-round pick, shortstop Eric Brown ($2.05 million). At 6-foot-7, 190 pounds, Misiorowski is a lean, lanky 20-year-old pitcher with more physical projection, though there isn't much need to project for a pitcher who is already sitting in the mid-90s and touching 101 mph. Beyond just pure velocity, Misiorowski's fastball plays up because of his extension and his fastball's spin and carry up in the zone, which allows him to miss lots of bats when he elevates. He hard slider is generally in the mid-80s but can crank up to the low-90s, flashing plus with good tilt when it's on. Misiorowski has primarily a two-pitch attack and struggled with his control at Crowder, walking 45 in 76 innings for 5.3 BB/9. That adds considerable reliever risk to his profile, but if he does end up in the bullpen, the stuff is there for him to develop into a high-leverage innings arm.
