Kling was a top-five round prospect as a high schooler in the 2022 class but withdrew from the draft in order to make it to campus at LSU. Now a draft-eligible sophomore with a 6-foot-2, 203-pound frame, Kling has struggled to fully tap into his loud toolset in two years in college and struggled to a .222/.409/.318 slash line this spring with a 24.9% strikeout rate. He boasts solid raw power, arm strength and speed and could potentially stick in center field but there are real questions about his pure hitting ability and contact skills, given the length of his swing and his pitch recognition. Kling entered the transfer portal after the 2024 season.
