Uhl is a power-hitting first baseman. He came on strong in his senior season, exploding for 29 home runs, and slugging over 1.000. He hasn't faced much quality competition, but he has legitimate plus power and impacted the ball with authority all season. Uhl's offensive promise reminds scouts of the success that Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams had at Slippery Rock, another small Pennsylvania school, though Uhl is more athletic. He has also pitched a little bit, and can reach the upper 80s with his fastball.
