Kea is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound catcher who has some of the most impressive raw power in the 2024 high school class. He has a tremendous ability to backspin the baseball and pepper hard homers out of big league ballparks with seeming ease, though he is still a long way from consistently tapping into that power during games. As impressive as his BPs look, his game at-bats result in aggressive swings out of the zone and a late trigger and hitch from a low handset that puts him in a tough position to catch up to velocity. Kea will need to work to improve his actions, receiving and blocking to stick behind the plate at the next level. He’s committed to Vanderbilt.
