Thomas is a large lefthader with a 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame and a four-pitch mix. He has pitched in the 90-92 mph range this spring and been up to 94, with a slider and changeup that both could project for average secondaries as well as a mid-70s slider that is more of a below-average offering. He gets good extension down the mound that could amplify his arsenal but throws with effort and significant recoil and his control is erratic and needs plenty of work. Thomas turns 19 shortly after the draft and will be a draft-eligible sophomore at Indiana if he makes it to campus.
