  A solid athlete at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Powell hit third or leadoff much of the year for Georgia. He's similar to Georgia Tech's Sam Dove, and like Dove has hitting ability but not much power. He's played mostly third base at Georgia but fits better as a second baseman as a pro. He should have the hands and arm strength to turn double plays but will have to improve his footwork for second. He's an average runner.
