It's not often that a Division II pitcher who posted a 7.71 ERA with nearly as many walks as innings pitched could turn into a draft prospect, but Jacobson has managed to do that. The redshirt junior bounced back from a rough 2021 to go 5-3, 4.09 this year with 79 strikeouts in 61.2 innings. More importantly he walked only 25 this year, after walking more than that in 30 innings in 2021. Jacobson has a 90-92 mph fastball from a short-striding delivery. He generates excellent spin rates on his curveball.
