Brown is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound catcher with a glove first profile. He has a chance to be an above-average or better receiver behind the plate with solid actions and hands as well as a 70-grade throwing arm. He threw out 27 of 57 (47.4%) base stealers this spring and has the tools to control the running game. His offensive profile is a bit more limited with perhaps a well below-average pure hit tool and only fringy raw power. Brown did have a career offensive season this spring and hit over .300 for the first time in his career, but he’s a career .288/.377/.471 hitter in three seasons with North Carolina A&T and showed very little extra-base pop with a wood bat in the Northwoods League in 2023.
