Randall is an extra-large righthander with a 6-foot-4, 240-pound frame. He was a catcher in high school but converted to pitching in college, though he dealt with injuries and threw just 17.2 innings in two seasons with Arizona. He moved to San Diego for the 2024 season and was an up-arrow prospect early in the year after moving to a starting role and showing a power fastball. He sits in the 92-95 mph range and has been up to 98 with bowling ball sink from a sidearm slot. Randall also throws a mid-80s slider and an upper-80s changeup. There’s starter/reliever risk with Randall and he’ll need to post throughout the spring given his lack of track record on the bump.
