Drafted in the 27th round (799th overall) by the Colorado Rockies in 2013.
View Draft Report
Palo was one of Middle Tennessee State's most significant recruits four seasons ago and jumped straight into an important role, starting 21 games in his first two seasons. His inability to repeat his delivery led to control problems and 78 walks in 115 innings. The Blue Raiders moved him to the bullpen last season, and things got worse before he made progress in 2013, saving eight games and posting a 2.64 ERA. Palo should be a good senior sign, as his fastball reaches 95 mph, and the 6-foot-4, 245-pounder flashes a power breaking ball as well. He has the durable frame to start but has not shown the fastball command for the role.
