Jose's father Felix was a big league all-star in 1991 during his 11-season major league career. Dominic Jose impressed scouts in Florida but chose to attend Stanford, where he has rarely earned consistent playing time. He had just 220 at-bats in three seasons, and the moving parts in his swing keep him from making a lot of contact. In pro ball, Jose would get the at-bats he needs to make adjustments needed to get to his plus raw power. He's athletic enough for either corner.
