Glanz's father Gary was an unsigned second-round pick in 1979, then pitched for two seasons in pro ball in the Angels system after playing at Arkansas. The Colorado product pitched two seasons at Sewart County (Kan.) JC before arriving at Oral Roberts, where he struggled significantly as a junior. However, he threw well in the Alaska League last year for Mat-Su and joined Guillermo Trujillo in Oral Roberts' weekend rotation this spring. Glanz lives off his two-seam fastball, which has some arm-side run and sink while also bumping 93 mph and sitting 87-91 mph. Though he pitches off the sinker, he doesn't throw a slider, rather relying on a 12-to-6 fringe-average curveball as his main secondary pitch. The senior could be a solid first-10-rounds money-saver.
