McClure went into the season as one of the top high school players in Georgia, and while some scouts still take that view, the consensus is that he has moved down the list of Peach State prospects. Scouts have consistently criticized him this spring for a nonchalant attitude on the field and bad body language. McClure has the talent to be picked early, however, thanks to plus speed (generally 6.6 seconds over 60 yards) and wiry athleticism in a 6-foot-2, 185-pound body. He fits the center-field profile with his average arm and speed. He has shown balance at the plate and juice as well thanks to a loose swing. Scouts aren't sure about his feel for hitting, however, and most were content to see how McClure plays out after three seasons at Georgia Tech.
