Eadington grew up in Southern California and was once an office intern for the Dodgers, but he was off their radar coming into spring of 2011. He went undrafted after going 0-7, 4.99 as a fifth-year senior for the Crimson, but Los Angeles got a tip about his strong left arm and signed him. He converted from starting to reliever after turning pro and took to the move quickly, dominating Rookie-level hitters and posting a 0.83 ERA. Eadington pitches at 90-94 mph with a tailing fastball, and he can touch 95. He gets good downhill angle and throws strikes, though some observers believe he leaves too many balls up in the zone but was able to get away with it in Rookie ball. His second pitch is a slurvy breaking ball that he throws at 79-81 mph. Eadington has some length in his arm action but his delivery otherwise works well. If he can maintain his stuff and command, he could move quickly. He'll turn 24 before the 2012 season starts, so the Dodgers would like to push him to at least high Class A by the end of the year.
