Didawick is a big and physical 6-foot-4, 215-pound outfielder and draft-eligible sophomore. He turned in just middling offensive numbers at Virginia through his first season, though scouts were enamored with his power/speed combination and high-level athleticism during the 2023 fall. He had a strong 2024 season where he slashed .293/.415/.644 with 23 home runs and 14 stolen bases, though that power did come with a 24.1% strikeout rate. Didawick is something of a boom or bust offensive player who will hit towering home runs to the pull side and the left-center opposite field gap, but will also swing and miss with frequency. During the 2024 spring he managed just a 69% overall contact rate with significant contact questions against secondaries, though he mashed fastballs and velocity above 92 mph in general. His swing can get lengthy and steep at times, though Didawick has walked at a solid 13.4% clip in his career. While Didawick has mostly played left field in college, he runs well for his size with long, loping strides. Some scouts think he has a chance to play center field thanks to his speed and athleticism. His arm strength might ultimately fit better in left if he’s not a center fielder, and he should have the power to profile there if he can find a way to make enough contact.
