    Many of Missouri's top pitchers are college seniors. Southwest Missouri State planned on using RHP Jeff Gray as a closer but couldn't get enough leads to him, so he moved to the rotation. Hampered by a strained oblique muscle last year, he has come back strong to throw three pitches for strikes: an 87-91 mph fastball, an overhand curveball and a changeup.
