Tall and slender at a listed 6-foot-5, 190 pounds, Squier is an Arizona prep product who jumped straight into Hawaii's rotation as a freshman. He's never quite filled out physically and hasn't held his velocity or grown into more, still bumping the occasional 94 but more often sitting 89-90 mph and touching 92. He also flashes an above-average breaking ball, alternately described by scouts as a curveball or slider. Scouts have had doubts about Squier's maturity since his prep days, when he was a 21st-round pick (by the Tigers), and still have them.
