Pollock is a classic projection lefthander. He's lean at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds and has room to fill in his frame. Pollock pitches off his fastball, which works mostly at 88-91 but can bump as high as 93 mph. He has a drop-and-drive delivery that eliminates some of the natural angle that his frame would otherwise allow for, but he has some deception to him and hides the ball well. Pollock's offspeed stuff--a mid-70s curveball with sweeping action and a mid-80s changeup--lacks polish, but both show the potential to develop with further reps. Scouts praise his aptitude and natural athleticism, and he could develop into a more prominent prospect after attending Florida State.
