Magliozzi was a 35th-round pick of the Rays in 2011 coming out of high school in Massachusetts, but he didn't sign and worked as a spot starter and middle reliever for Florida last year. He is old for his class and was actually draft-eligible as a freshman, but he wasn't picked last year. He pitched well in the Cape Cod League last summer before anchoring Florida's bullpen as a sophomore. He had a hand in more than half the team's 29 wins, with a 4-2, 2.49 record and 12 saves in 61 innings. Magliozzi pitches aggressively with effort in his delivery and good control of three average pitches. His fastball can touch 95 but generally sits 90-92 mph, and he spots his changeup and curveball. His durable 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame should make him a reliable reliever.
