Erstad has been on center stage most of this college year, first as the punter/placekicker for Nebraska's national championship football team and most recently as the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 to the Angels in the baseball draft. Erstad has superb athletic ability with the potential to be above average in all phases of the game. He generates good bat speed with a short, quick stroke that should produce a high average and 25-30 home runs a year. He plays center field, but his speed and arm strength may be better suited for a corner position. His work habits are second to none.
