Switch hitting Cruz Jr., son of the former all-star outfielder, grabbed the spotlight early when he homered five times in his first seven at-bats. He hasn't let up, but there's concern he has piled up big numbers mostly at the expense of Rice's weaker competition. Cruz has five-tool ability, but scouts say his arm is only borderline and may eventually force him to left field. He has excellent power, especially from the right side, and good strike-zone knowledge. His instincts are unequaled. He could go as high as the third pick.
