Drafted in the 13th round (377th overall) by the Houston Astros in 2013.

Westwood is a potential senior sign with upside. He was a 44th-round pick of the Orioles out of a Florida high school in 2009, but he wasn't draft after a strong 6-4, 2.84 junior season at North Florida last year. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder had his senior season interrupted by a pulled hamstring, but when he was healthy he showed solid swing-and-miss stuff. His fastball sits in the 90-91 mph range, at times touching 94-95. He has a solid feel for his changeup, his best secondary pitch, and just enough of a curveball to keep hitters honest. He has improved his strikeout rate significantly as a senior, though he has also been more hittable.
