A 24th-round pick of the Orioles in 2018, Iser has been scouted for years and is well known by every nearby area scout. He's seen as a solid catch-and-throw catcher but one who has a light bat. He projects as a solid organizational backstop

Draft Prospects
Iser was well-known by scouts as an underclassman, and entered the 2015 summer as a player scouts were watching. His carrying tool will have to be his raw power, which he gets to with a somewhat longer swing that leads to swing-and-miss. Iser is a catcher now, and has plus arm strength, but his thick build and below-average athleticism lead some evaluators to project a move to first base in his future. Iser could go out somewhere early after the 10th round, but he could also fulfill his commitment to San Jacinto CC (Texas), where he'll have the chance to prove that he can hit and try to improve as a catcher.
