Luna moved into Alabama-Birmingham's rotation as a junior and was a fixture in that role for the final two years of his college career. He was slowed by an illness early in the season, but pitched well for the Blazers once he returned to health. Luna doesn't overpower hitters, but fills up the strike zone with his three-pitch mix. He doesn't miss many bats, instead creating lots of groundball outs thanks to the sink on his fastball. He can run his fastball into the low 90s, but typically works with less velocity.
