Drafted in the 19th round (572nd overall) by the Cleveland Guardians in 2016 (signed for $100,000).

Central Arizona's top starter is a tough one to project. A righthanded power arm with a fastball touching 95 mph, Clemmer may be better suited for a bullpen role because of a deceptive low-three-quarters delivery with plenty of effort. His sinking fastball has plus life and plus movement, inducing frequent ground balls, and he flashes a slider with tightness and break to it. The Vancouver, Wash., native was undrafted out of high school and after his freshman year at Central Arizona, but may get popped in the top 10 rounds this year by a team that thinks he can be a starting pitcher. He went 9-2, 4.63 this spring in a wood-bat league but had 83 strikeouts in 80 innings.
