  Ford has a strong, projectable 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame and a knack for throwing strikes, though his control is well ahead of his command. His present stuff is fringy--he works at 87-91 mph and touches 92 on occasion--but he could add velocity as he matures. His slurvy breaking ball needs refinement, and he lacks feel for his changeup. An outstanding student, Ford is committed to Yale. Don't expect any team to buy him out of that commitment, but his projection is intriguing and he could blossom into an excellent prospect incollege.
