  One of the premier athletes in the 2026 class, Washington is already a plus runner whose speed could climb another grade given that he’s one of the younger players for 2026. He shines in center field, where he has the potential to be a plus defender. An explosive player with a quick first step, Washington has good range and tracks balls well with the ability to make highlight grabs and a tick above-average arm. Washington is a solid offensive contributor as well with strong forearms, fast hands and above-average bat speed. He can produce some of the better exit velocities in the class when he gets off his A swing, though in games it’s more gap power with the potential for bigger home run numbers that could come as his swing evolves. His speed helps him leg out extra-base hits and makes him a potential high stolen base threat.
