One of the premier athletes in the 2026 class, Washington is already a plus runner whose speed could climb another grade given that he’s one of the younger players for 2026. He shines in center field, where he has the potential to be a plus defender. Washington has a quick first step, good range and tracks balls well with the ability to make highlight grabs and an average arm. Washington is a solid offensive contributor as well with strong forearms and above-average bat speed. It’s mostly gap power with the speed that helps him leg out extra base hits and makes him a potential high stolen base threat, with the bat speed there for more power that could come as his swing evolves.
