Ferreras is a small middle infielder with a 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame who has been a consistent producer for Western Carolina. He’s hit well over .300 in each of his three seasons with the program and in 2023 he slashed .325/.435/.574 with 12 home runs and the best strikeout and walk rates of his career. Ferreras plays shortstop now, but he’s a 30-grade runner who might be forced off the position at the next level, and he also doesn’t have much impact without the physical projection to be optimistic about much more coming in the future. Ferraras played two summers with Yarmouth-Dennis in the Cape Cod League and struggled with wood, so there’s plenty of skepticism about his bat in pro ball, but his Southern Conference performance and middle infield profile could make him a draft target on day three.
