A small and skinny middle infielder, Purify is listed at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. With that size, power isn’t much of a factor in Purify’s game, and he will likely always be more of a hit-over-power offensive profile. He is a quick-twitch athlete with bouncy actions in the middle of the infield and plus speed that borders on 70-grade running ability. He clocked a 6.58-second 60-yard time at the 2022 East Coast Pro showcase and pairs that speed with solid body control and hands that should allow him to stick at a middle infield position—though his arm strength could make him a better fit for second. Purify is a Clemson commit and teams could want to see him go to school, layer on strength and prove his offensive chops before he gets a shot in pro ball. He’s also extremely young for the class and won’t turn 18 until November 2023.
