Harris has a tantalizing combination of youth (he’ll still be 17 on draft day), advanced physicality with a muscular 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame and some of the best raw power in the prep class. He has produced tremendous top-end exit velocities with wood bats, including a 110-mph home run at Perfect Game’s National showcase in 2023 and a 111-mph max exit velocity in batting practice at the June draft combine. He projects for 70-grade raw power at physical maturity, though that power comes with a pull-heavy approach and plenty of swing and miss thanks to his long levers. He has a tendency to step in the bucket and leak out to the pull side, which will leave him exposed to the outer third. Because of that, some scouts wonder if he’ll be a below-average hitter at the end of the day. A third baseman now, Harris has above-average arm strength for the position (he’s been up to 93 mph on the mound) but he’ll need to maintain his body and refine his glovework and actions to stick at the position long term. If a team doesn’t take a shot on his power upside in the draft, he’ll head to Virginia where he could quickly become a fearsome ACC slugger.

Harris is young for the class and will still be 17 on draft day, but he doesn’t look like it with a large and muscular, 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame. He has tremendous raw power and a pull-heavy approach that leads to massive home runs to left field—both in batting practice and in game. At Perfect Game’s National showcase at Chase Field, he caught an 81-mph breaking ball that was left up and hit a no-doubt blast that measured 110 mph in exit velocity. Harris has a power-over-hit offensive profile with long levers and a decent amount of swing and miss in his game. He has a tendency to step in the bucket and leak out to the pull side, which could leave him exposed on the outer third. Harris has above-average arm strength and has been up to 93 mph on the mound. He is committed to Virginia.
