  Rogers is a big and physical catcher with a 6-foot, 215-pound frame who stands out for his raw power and arm strength. Rogers is a righthanded hitter with a power-over-hit offensive profile and pull-heavy approach. He has solid bat speed and lots of raw strength and employs an uphill bat path and steep finish that should provide plenty of impact fly ball damage to left field but could also create holes and swing-and-miss concerns. He’s a solid fastball hitter who will need to improve his contact ability against spin and off-speed offerings. Rogers has above-average arm strength and can turn in 1.85-second pop times at his best, though his receiving is inconsistent and he needs to improve his hands and mobility behind the dish. Like many catchers he’s a well below-average runner. Rogers is committed to Georgia Tech and is on the older end for the class. He’ll be a draft-eligible sophomore if he makes it to campus.
