The son of former major leaguer Jose Valentin, Yomar Valentin starred for the Puerto Rican team that reached the Little League World Series in 2010. Valentin is listed at 5-foot-7, 155 pounds, but plays above his size and earns praise for his makeup. He is a switch-hitter with quick hands that help him produce more power than his size would suggest. That's unlikely to be a big part of his game at the next level, however. He has a good feel for the barrel and enough speed to fit at the top of the order. Valentin has good instincts and actions in the infield. He is committed to Auburn.
