Hamilton played on Team USA’s gold medal-winning 18U National Team in 2022 and hit a middle-of-the-pack .286 in just seven at-bats with the team. He is a small and athletic infielder with quick-twitch actions and some projection remaining in his lean, 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame. Shortstop might be a hard sell for scouts who question his arm strength, so most evaluators see him settling in as a second baseman or center fielder, where his plus running ability should play nicely. He doesn’t project for huge power, but has shown solid bat-to-ball skills with a compact righthanded swing that could spray line drives all over the field. Hamilton is a Vanderbilt commit.
