Nick Hull

A five-year college player at Grand Canyon, Hull is an undersized righthander with a high spin rate on all of his pitches. Hull spent his first four seasons coming out of the Antelope’s bullpen. He pitched on the Cape Cod League with Orleans last summer before making the jump to the Antelopes rotation this spring. He performed well going 7-1 over 16 starts, pitching to a 3.72 ERA while striking out 102 batters to 28 walks over 96.2 innings. Hull mixes a four-seam fastball at 90-93 mph with heavy cut and spin rates in the 2400-2600 rpm range. His primary secondary is a sweepy low-80s slider with spin rates between 2800 to 3000 rpm. He shows feel for a mid-80s changeup and a curveball with more depth than his slider but similar eye-popping spin data.
