Galloway is an undersized catcher with a 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame who took over as USC’s everyday backstop halfway through the 2023 season. He had a standout offensive performance in that stretch, hitting .365/.425/.524 in 21 games, then cooled off a bit during his draft-eligible 2024 season. Galloway hit .289/.392/.455 with a 17.1% strikeout rate, 10.5% walk rate and six home runs. He’s more of a doubles hitter than a true home run hitter and will chase out of the zone more often than he should, but he has solid contact skills in the lefthanded batters box.
