Dallas enjoyed a fantastic senior year in which he worked a 5-1 record with a minuscule 0.80 ERA and 102 strikeouts across 52.2 innings. In his first season at Tennessee, Dallas was productive in his 17 innings and worked a 4.76 ERA with 22 strikeouts. He entered the transfer portal this offseason and eventually committed to Wake Forest. At 6-foot-5, 175-pounds, the lanky lefthander has exciting upside. Dallas moves well on the mound and attacks hitters from a near over-the-top slot with a quality pitch mix. His fastball will sit comfortably in the 88-90 mph range, but will top out at 93-94. It has cutting action at times and is at its best when located at the top half of the strike zone. He has above-average feel for the offering and commands it well. As Dallas continues to get stronger and fill out his frame, it is easy to envision the pitch eventually sitting in the mid 90s. -

Dallas is a projection lefthander with a tall and extra-lanky frame, listed at 6-foot-5, 180 pounds. While he’s on the older end of the 2023 class and will be 19 before draft day, he oozes projection given how much additional strength and weight Dallas should be able to pack on in the next few years. Dallas has solid body control and throws with a repeatable delivery and high, three-quarter slot. He’s not a hard thrower now, with a fastball that sits in the 88-90 mph range and will touch 91-92, but his length could give him good extension and allow the heater to play up. He’s also shown an impressive ability to move the fastball to either side of the plate and change eye levels, though from outing to outing his control can be more inconsistent. He throws a curveball in the 72-78 mph range that features solid depth when he gets it down and 1-to-7 shape. He locates the breaking ball consistently and also has infrequently thrown a low-80s changeup with soft tumbling action that could develop into a viable third pitch, as it pairs nicely with his fastball and generates ugly swings at times. Dallas’ entire arsenal would be amplified with strength gains and more power, which is the key to his profile moving forward. He is committed to Tennessee.
