The Notre Dame commit is coming off a strong senior spring campaign that began with an eye-opening performance at Prep Baseball Report’s Super 60 event in February. Gaining solid strength throughout his high school career, the righthanded hitter stands in with a wide base and fluid swing with plus power potential, especially to the pull side. His spin recognition is impressive for a prep prospect as well and should only get better with time. The 6-foot-2 200-pound slugger is a good fit for the corner infield or an outfield position as he runs well for a bigger athlete with recorded 60-yard times in the past around the 6.8-second mark. With velocity across the infield around 90 mph, Moreno brings a solid overall package that has drawn interest from the scouting community. He projects to be an immediate impact bat for the Fighting Irish next spring if he proves too costly for pro teams in the draft.
