Sos emerged early as a potential pop-up prospect at San Diego-area power Granite Hills (El Cajon, Calif.) High, but he slowed down over the course of the season to lose some of that helium. Sos is a strong 6-foot-3, 195-pound righthanded hitter with above-average raw power and a fast, direct swing. His swing occasionally gets scoopy at times, but he makes impact on contact and shows a feel for the barrel. Sos has average range at third base, but his footwork is choppy and he gets caught in between arms. He has above-average arm strength and can stick at the position if he refines his footwork. Sos is committed to Texas Christian and may be best served going to college to iron out the kinks in his game. His bat gives him a chance to be a high draft pick in three years if he makes it to campus.
