A 6-foot-3, 220-pound righthander, Brandon has shown impressive pure stuff with Toledo, but has struggled to reign in his command over three years with the program. This spring, Brandon posted a 4.76 ERA over 15 starts and 75.2 innings, with 88 strikeouts (24.4 K%) and 42 walks (11.7 BB%). The fact that his 2022 walk rate is his career-best speaks to his control issues, but he has thrown a fastball up to 98 mph at best and this spring sat in the low 90s, with three secondaries. He also throws a mid-80s slider, a curveball around 80 and a mid-80s changeup. Brandon throws from a sidearm slot which could be tricky on hitters if he can find the zone more frequently in the future. He could have the stuff to profile out of a big league pen if he does so.
