Findlay is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound lefthander who was one of the top pitchers for Notre Dame as a freshman during his 2022 season. That year he led the team with a 2.17 ERA and finished third with 49.2 innings, but halfway through the 2023 season he had Tommy John surgery and has not pitched at all in 2024. In 90 career innings with Notre Dame Findlay has posted a 2.90 ERa with a 29.3% strikeout rate and 7.3% walk rate. He mostly works off a fastball that sits in the 88-91 mph range and touches 93-94 and a 78-81 mph slider. Findlay has also thrown a slower, loopier curveball in the low 70s.
