Becker is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound lefthander who has split time as a starter and reliever with South Carolina. He took a step forward with his strike throwing in 2024 and has pitched heavily off an upper-70s curveball with 1-to-7 shape. The pitch has just modest miss rates for a breaking ball thrown as often as it is but he does land it in the zone consistently and backs it up with an upper-80s fastball that touches 92 with above-average ride. He will also mix in a low-80s changeup but uses the pitch infrequently. It’s an unusual profile but Becker does have some projection in his frame for teams who want to dream on more velocity coming.
